We're gonna try to have Tamers finished before No Man's Sky comes out next Friday, so we're gonna probably watch them in clusters.
During our Tamers marathon, half of my entertainment has been Brady's peanut gallery comments.
"Renamon digivolve into... Ninetails!"
"Suzie's a tamer? Are you FUCKING kidding me?!?"
But the fact that he was completely silent during Lionheart, Give A Little Bit, and The Battle Within speaks immense volumes at how dark this season got, and how quickly it went there.

I warned him ahead of time to try his very best to ignore Ryo; the only part of Tamers the writers had no control over, and was the executives' bargaining chip for giving them complete control of everything else.
He's beginning to warm up to Rika; not sure if Best Human has made a definitive switch though.

Well, after we got caught up on ponies (only had to watch Spice Up Your Life about a month after it aired) a couple nights ago, I realized that Brady has been here a year, and I still had not made the time to introduce him to what was undoubtedly the best season of the most significant show of my late childhood, just before high school hit.
Plus you'd have Twitter trying to cancel Rika's mom after her response to Renamon's gender comment.
And that is that. We sat here for five hours, but I told him, once we hit the final story arc, he wasn't going to want to stop.
Even after all this time, re-watching for my 4th time, and Brady's first, we both were trying, and failing, to hold back tears in the final minutes of the Tamers finale.
Well, a re-watch for me, and an introduction to the Digimon franchise for my friend of nearly eight years.
His best human?
Same as mine, actually; one that has remained in my top five fictional heroes for nearly twenty years running now.
Taking a former roommate and longtime friend through one of the greatest pieces of my childhood.
It's so fun, seeing how ill-prepared he is for how dark and philosophical and lovecraftian it'll get in the second half. But he's majoring in philosophy, so these post-finale conversations will likely be unlike any I've had before.
Just slightly longer this time, 2050 words, as we switch gears to our favorite blue-haired tamer.
